Tip: if you cannot see the .htaccess file in cPanel File Manager, enable Show Hidden Files (dotfiles) in File Manager settings.

Use an Apache .htaccess file to redirect visitors when a page has moved. Add one of the following rules to the site’s .htaccess file.

Redirect a page to another website

To redirect /mypage.html to a URL on another website, use:

Redirect 301 /mypage.html https://example.com/

Redirect a page to another page on the same website

To redirect /oldpage.html to /newpage.html, use:

Redirect 301 /oldpage.html /newpage.html

Replace the example paths and domain with your own. A 301 redirect indicates that the page has moved permanently.
