- Log in to SiteWorx. For example, visit
https://www.example.com:2443/siteworx/. - In the SiteWorx menu, open Hosting Features, then select Softaculous.
- In Softaculous, select Blogs from the left-hand menu, then choose OpenBlog.
- Select Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Keep the default unless you need a different protocol.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation. If only one domain is available, keep the default.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install OpenBlog at a path such as
example.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name and Site Description.
- Under Admin Account, set the admin username, a strong password, your real name (or leave the default), and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.”
- Save the admin username and password securely; you will need them to access the OpenBlog admin area.
- Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or change the database name and backup settings. Backups use disk space, so consider your storage needs.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Install.
