Log in to SiteWorx, for example at
www.example.com:2443/siteworx/.In SiteWorx, open Hosting Features, then select Softaculous.
In the Softaculous interface, open the Blogs category and select Serendipity.
Click Install.
Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Keep the default unless you need a different protocol.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation. If you have only one domain, keep the default.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Serendipity in a subdirectory, such as
example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
Under Site Settings, enter a site name and description.
Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, your real name (or leave the default), and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Save the username and password; you will need them to sign in to the Serendipity admin area.
Choose the blog language. English is the default.
Leave Advanced Options at their defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
