- Log in to SiteWorx, for example at
www.example.com:2443/siteworx/. - Under SiteWorx, open Hosting Features if it is not already expanded, then select Softaculous.
- In Softaculous, select Blogs from the left-hand menu, then choose Dotclear.
- Review the Dotclear information and click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Leave the default unless you need a different protocol.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation. If you have only one domain, keep the default.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Dotclear in a subdirectory, such as
directoryforexample.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a name for your site.
- Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, your first and last name, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Save the login details for accessing the Dotclear administration area. Choose the blog language; English is the default.
- Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
