Log in to SiteWorx (for example, at
www.example.com:2443/siteworx/).In the SiteWorx menu, open Hosting Features if it is not already expanded.
Click Softaculous.
In Softaculous, find the Blogs category in the left-hand menu. Open it, then select Textpattern.
Click Install.
Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use, or leave the default selection.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation. If you have only one domain, leave the default selection.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Textpattern in a subdirectory, such as
directoryforexample.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name and Site Description.
Under Admin Account, enter your administrator details:
- Admin Username: Choose a username; avoid common names such as “Administrator” or “Admin.”
- Admin Password: Use a strong password.
- Real Name: Keep the default or enter your name.
- Admin Email: Enter your email address.
Save the username and password securely. You will need them to access the Textpattern admin area.
Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups may use disk space.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
