- Log in to SiteWorx, for example at
www.example.com:2443/siteworx/. - In the SiteWorx menu, open Hosting Features, then select Softaculous.
- In Softaculous, select Blogs from the left-hand menu, then choose eggBlog.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Keep the default unless you need a different protocol.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install eggBlog. If only one domain is available, keep the default.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install eggBlog at a path such as
example.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name and Site Description.
- Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as
adminoradministrator. - Save the administrator username and password securely; you will need them to access the eggBlog administration area. Choose a language, or keep English as the default.
- Leave Advanced Options unchanged unless you want to customize settings such as the database name or automated backups. Backups use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
