- Log in to SiteWorx, for example at
www.example.com:2443/siteworx/. - Under SiteWorx, open Hosting Features if it is not already expanded.
- Select Softaculous.
- In Softaculous, select the Blogs category, then click PivotX.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Leave the default selection unless you need a different protocol.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation. If you have only one domain, leave the default selection.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install PivotX in a subdirectory, such as
example.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name for your website.
- Under Admin Account, enter the administrator details:
- Admin Username: Choose a username; avoid common names such as “admin” or “administrator.”
- Admin Password: Use a strong password.
- Nickname: Enter a nickname for the administrator account.
- Admin Email: Enter your email address.
- Save the admin username and password securely; you will need them to access the PivotX administration area. Choose a language for your blog. English is the default.
- Leave Advanced Options unchanged unless you need to adjust the database name or automated backup settings. Backups can use disk space. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
