Set up your cPanel email account in the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad to check messages automatically or manually.

  1. Open the Mail app and tap Other when asked to choose an account type.
  2. Tap Add Mail Account. Enter your name, full email address, email password, and a description, then tap Next. Choose IMAP if prompted.
  3. Enter the incoming and outgoing mail server details below. Use the server hostname and port listed in your cPanel email configuration details.

Incoming Mail Server

  • Hostname: Your mail server hostname, as shown in your cPanel email configuration details
  • Username: Your full email address, such as you@example.com
  • Password: The password for this email account

Outgoing Mail Server

  • Hostname: Your mail server hostname, as shown in your cPanel email configuration details
  • Username: Your full email address
  • Password: The password for this email account
  • Authentication: Password
  • Server Port: Use the port shown in your cPanel email configuration details. Port 587 is commonly listed for non-SSL SMTP.

Tap Next and wait for verification to finish. Save the account if prompted.

To review the settings later, open Settings and find the account under Mail or Apps > Mail, depending on your iOS version. Open the account, then its IMAP and SMTP settings.

Make sure Mail is enabled for the account. For SSL settings, use the server name and port specified in cPanel’s email configuration details. If authentication fails, verify the hostname, username, password, and port; use the email account password unless your provider’s configuration instructions specify otherwise.
