To delete a message, open Mozilla Thunderbird and locate the email you want to remove. How deletion affects the server depends on your account type and settings: IMAP generally synchronizes deletions with the mail server, while POP behavior depends on whether the account is configured to leave messages on the server.
- Open Mozilla Thunderbird.
- Open your Inbox, right-click the message you want to delete, and select Delete Message.
