How to Shut Down a VPS Gracefully or Forcefully in SolusVM

Shut down your VPS gracefully in SolusVM

1. Log in to the SolusVM control panel.
2. If you manage multiple VPSs, select the VPS you want to shut down.
   
3. Scroll down and click Shutdown.
   
4. When prompted, confirm by clicking Yes.
   

Wait for the shutdown to complete. SolusVM will display a notification when the VPS is shut down.

Shut down your VPS forcefully

In SolusVM, click Power Off to force the VPS to stop. This is similar to removing power from a physical computer and may cause data loss.

You can also connect to the VPS over SSH and run poweroff. This command shuts down the VPS from within its operating system.
