An additional Web Disk account lets you access a specific directory without using your main cPanel login.
- Log in to cPanel (for example, at
www.example.com/cpanel). - In the Files section, click Web Disk.
- Under Create an Additional Web Disk Account, enter the account details:
- Username: Enter a username, such as
folderx. - Password: Enter a password or use the password generator.
- Directory: Leave this blank to grant access to the account’s home directory, or enter a path such as
public_html/folderxto limit access to that directory. - Permissions: Choose the appropriate access level.

If you use Windows, you may need to enable Digest Authentication. You do not need to enable it when connecting over SSL on port 2078 with a certificate signed by a recognized certificate authority.
Click Create. Use the new account’s credentials to access the Web Disk.
