Upload an Index File Using FileZilla

1. Open FileZilla.

2. Enter your FTP host, username, and password, then select Quickconnect. You can use your cPanel username and password for FTP access. For the host, enter your domain name, such as example.com or ftp.example.com.

3. In the Remote site pane, open the public_html directory. This is commonly the website’s document root.

4. In the Local site pane, browse to the folder containing your index file. Select the file, then choose Upload.

After the transfer completes, the index file will be in public_html.
