cPanel provides spam filtering controls that analyse incoming messages and assign a spam score.
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Open the Email section and select Spam Filters.
- Enable spam filtering if it is not already active.
- Review the spam threshold score. A lower threshold applies stricter filtering, while a higher threshold is less aggressive.
- Configure the available options for handling messages identified as spam.
Important: spam scoring does not always mean that a message will automatically be deleted. Review the available handling and deletion options before enabling aggressive filtering.
Older cPanel versions may refer to the underlying filtering technology as Apache SpamAssassin.
