Tip: if you cannot see the .htaccess file in cPanel File Manager, enable Show Hidden Files (dotfiles) in File Manager settings.
Use an .htaccess file to redirect visitors when a page has moved. Add the appropriate rule to the file in your website’s document root.
Redirect a page to another website
Replace /mypage.html with the path of the old page and the URL with the destination:
Redirect 301 /mypage.html https://example.com/Redirect a page to another page
Replace the paths with the old and new page paths:
Redirect 301 /oldpage.html /newpage.htmlWith the second rule, a request for example.com/oldpage.html redirects to example.com/newpage.html. The 301 status indicates a permanent redirect.
