- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Portal/CMS category on the left and select Drupal.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, review the installation options:
- Choose the version you want to install: Keep the selected version unless you need a different one.
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use for the site.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Drupal in a subdirectory, such as
example.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain root. - Cronjob: Keep the default setting unless you need to change it.
- Under Site Settings, enter your website name.
- Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as
adminoradministrator. Save these login details securely; you will need them to access Drupal's admin area. - Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or change the database name and backup settings. Automated backups can use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
