  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
  3. In Softaculous, open the Portals/CMS category and select Joomla.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Software Setup:
    • Choose Version: Select the Joomla version you want to install.
    • Choose Protocol: Select the protocol for your site. Use HTTPS if it is configured for the domain.
    • Choose Domain: Select the domain where Joomla should be installed.
    • In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Joomla in a subdirectory, such as directory for example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
  6. Site Settings: Enter a site name and, optionally, a site description or slogan.
  7. Database Settings: Configure the sample-data option as desired.
  8. Admin Account: Enter an administrator username, a strong password, your name, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as admin or administrator.

Save the administrator username and password securely; you will need them to sign in to Joomla.

  9. Select the desired language. English is the default.
  10. Advanced Options: Leave the settings unchanged unless you need to adjust options such as the database name or automated backups. Backups use disk space.
  11. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
