- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Portal/CMS category and select Concrete5.
- Click Install.
- Complete the Software Setup fields:
- Choose the version you want to install: Leave the default selection unless you need a different version.
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use. Choose HTTPS if it is available and configured for your domain.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Concrete5 in a subdirectory, such as
directoryforexample.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name. Leave Sample Data at its default setting if you do not need to change it.
- Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.”
- Choose the installation language. English is the default.
- Save your admin username and password somewhere secure; you will need them to access the Concrete5 administration area.
- Leave Advanced Options at their defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space, so account for this when choosing a backup schedule.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
