- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Portal/CMS category on the left and select CMS Made Simple.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use. Leave the default selection if it is appropriate for your site.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install at a path such as
example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a name for your website.
- Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid generic usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Save the login details so you can access the CMS Made Simple admin area.
- Select the installation language. English is the default.
- Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or adjust options such as the database name and automated backups. Backups use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
