  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
  3. In Softaculous, open the Portal/CMS category and select Subrion.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
    • Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use. Leave the default selection if it is appropriate for your site.
    • Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install Subrion.
    • In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Subrion at a path such as example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
  6. Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid generic usernames such as admin or administrator.

Save the username and password securely; you will need them to access the Subrion administration area.

  7. Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or change options such as the database name and automated backups. Backups use disk space.
  8. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
