  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
  3. In Softaculous, find the Portal/CMS category in the left-hand menu and select ocPortal.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Software Setup:
    • Choose Protocol: Leave the default selection unless you need a different protocol.
    • Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation. If you have only one domain, leave the default selection.
    • In Directory: Enter a directory name to install ocPortal in a subdirectory, such as example.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain root.
  6. Site Settings: Enter a name for your website.
  7. Admin Account: Enter an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. For security, avoid generic usernames such as admin or administrator.

Save the username and password securely; you will need them to sign in to the ocPortal administration area.

  8. Advanced Options: Leave the defaults unchanged unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space.
  9. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
