- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Portal/CMS category and select Mambo.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Mambo in a subdirectory, such as
directoryforexample.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a site name and description.
- Under Database Settings, leave the table prefix at its default unless you have a reason to change it.
- Under Admin Account, set the administrator password and email address. Enter your name if the form provides a name field. If the username is fixed, keep the displayed username.
- Save the administrator login details somewhere secure; you will need them to access the Mambo administration area.
- Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults, or adjust the database name and backup settings if needed. Backups use disk space. Scroll down and click Install to start the installation.
