- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Portal/CMS category on the left, then select SilverStripe.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use. Leave the default if it is appropriate for your site.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation. If you have only one domain, keep the default selection.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install SilverStripe at a path such as
example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name and Site Description.
- Under Admin Account, enter your email address, first and last name, and a strong administrator password.
Save the administrator login details securely; you will need them to access the SilverStripe admin area.
- Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
