- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Portal/CMS category on the left and select Fork.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol for your site.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install Fork.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Fork at a path such as
example.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain’s root.
- Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username and a strong password. Avoid common usernames such as
adminoradministrator. Save these credentials; you will need them to access Fork’s admin area. - Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or change the database name and backup settings. Automated backups can use additional disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
