- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Portal/CMS category and select ProcessWire.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use. Leave the default if it is appropriate for your site.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation. If you have only one domain, keep the selected value.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install ProcessWire in a subdirectory, such as
directoryforexample.com/directory. Leave this blank to install at the domain’s root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name and Site Description.
- Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.”
Keep the username and password somewhere secure; you will need them to sign in to the ProcessWire admin area.
- Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change options such as the database name or automated backups. Backups use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
