  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
  3. In Softaculous, open the Portal/CMS category and select GRAV.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
    • Choose Protocol: Select the protocol for your site, or keep the default.
    • Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install GRAV. If you have only one domain, keep the default selection.
    • In Directory: Enter a directory name to install GRAV at a path such as example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
  6. Under Admin Account, enter the requested details:
    • Admin Username: Use the username shown by Softaculous. If the field is disabled, it cannot be changed here.
    • Admin Password: Set a strong password.
    • Admin Email: Enter your email address.
    • First Name and Last Name: Enter your name.
    • Real Name: Keep the default or enter your full name.

Save the admin login details securely; you will need them to access the GRAV admin area.

  7. Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups can use additional disk space.
  8. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
