- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, find the Portal/CMS category and select Kirby.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol for your site, or leave the default selection.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install Kirby. If you have only one domain, leave the default selection.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Kirby in a subdirectory, such as
example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.”
- Choose the Kirby language. English is the default.
- Optionally adjust the settings under Advanced Options, such as the database name or automated backups. Backups can use additional disk space. Save your administrator login details securely; you will need them to access Kirby’s admin area.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
