- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Portal/CMS category on the left and select Jamroom.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Keep the default unless you need a different protocol.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install Jamroom. If you have only one domain, keep the selected value.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Jamroom at a path such as
example.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain’s root.
- Under Admin Account, enter the administrator details:
- Admin Username: Choose a username; avoid common names such as “Administrator” or “Admin.”
- Admin Password: Use a strong password.
- Admin Email: Enter an email address for account-related messages and password recovery.
Save the username and password securely. You will need them to sign in to the Jamroom admin area.
- Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
