  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. Under Software, click Softaculous App Installer.
  3. In Softaculous, find the Portal/CMS category and select Anchor.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Under Software Setup, choose the protocol and domain for the installation. If you want to install Anchor in a subdirectory, enter the directory name in In Directory. Leave this field blank to install it in the domain’s main directory.
  6. Under Site Settings, enter a site name and description.
  7. Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Save these login details; you will need them to access the Anchor admin area.
  8. Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or change options such as the database name and automated backups. Backups use disk space.
  9. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
