An external website can use an <img> tag to display an image hosted on your site. This can use your site’s bandwidth. Hotlink Protection lets you control which websites can load your images.
- Log in to cPanel.
- In the Security section, click HotLink Protection.
- If the page says Hotlink protection is currently disabled, click Enable.
Configure allowed websites
Under URLs to allow access, add the URLs of websites that should be allowed to display images from your site. Include your own website and any subdomains that need access, such as demo.example.com.
