- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Under Software, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Blogs category and select Dotclear.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, choose the protocol and domain for the installation. In In Directory, enter a directory name to install Dotclear at a path such as
example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root. - Under Site Settings, enter a name for your website.
- Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, your first and last names, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Select the blog language; English is the default. Save your login details for accessing the Dotclear administration area.
- Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults, or change the database name and backup settings. Frequent automated backups may use additional disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
