  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. Under Software, click Softaculous App Installer.
  3. In Softaculous, open the Blogs category and select Pixie.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
    • Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use, or leave the default selection.
    • Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation.
    • In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Pixie in a subdirectory, such as example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it in the domain's document root.
  6. Under Site Settings, enter a site name and description.
  7. Under Admin Account, set an administrator username, a strong password, your real name if desired, and your email address. Avoid using common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.”

Save the username and password securely; you will need them to access Pixie's administration area.

  8. Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults, or change the database name and backup settings. Automated backups may use additional disk space.
  9. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install to start the installation.
