- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Under Software, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Blogs category and select Pixie.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use, or leave the default selection.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Pixie in a subdirectory, such as
example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it in the domain's document root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a site name and description.
- Under Admin Account, set an administrator username, a strong password, your real name if desired, and your email address. Avoid using common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.”
Save the username and password securely; you will need them to access Pixie's administration area.
- Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults, or change the database name and backup settings. Automated backups may use additional disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install to start the installation.
