- Log in to cPanel.
- In the Software section, open Softaculous.
- In Softaculous, select Forums and then XMB.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for your forum.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install the forum at a path such as
example.com/forum. Leave this blank to install it at the domain’s root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a name for your forum.
- Under Admin Account, set an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address.
Save the username and password; you will need them to access the XMB administration area.
- Leave Advanced Options unchanged unless you want to adjust the database name or backup settings. Automated backups can use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
