- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Under Software, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Forums category and select FluxBB.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, choose the protocol and domain for the installation. To install FluxBB in a subdirectory, enter its name in In Directory (for example,
forum). Leave this field blank to install it at the domain's document root. - Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name and Site Description for your forum.
- Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid generic usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Save the username and password so you can sign in to the FluxBB administration area.
- Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or change the database name and backup settings. Frequent automated backups may use additional disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
