- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Forums category and select bbPress.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use, such as HTTPS if it is configured for your domain.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install bbPress.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install bbPress at a path such as
example.com/forum. Leave this blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter the board name, site description, and first forum name.
- Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid using a predictable username such as
adminoradministrator. - Save the admin login details securely; you will need them to access the bbPress administration area.
- Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
