How to Install miniBB Forum via Softaculous in cPanel — HostCupid technical guide
  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
  3. In Softaculous, open the Forums category and select miniBB.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Under Software Setup, choose the protocol and domain for the installation. If you do not have multiple domains, keep the default domain. To install miniBB in a subdirectory, enter its name in In Directory (for example, forum). Leave this field blank to install it in the domain’s root directory.
  6. Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid predictable usernames such as admin or Administrator.
  7. Save your administrator username and password; you will need them to access the miniBB administration area.
  8. Review Advanced Options. Keep the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups can use disk space. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
