- Log in to cPanel.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous.
- In Softaculous, open the Forums category and select FUDforum.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use, or keep the default.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install FUDforum in a subdirectory, such as
forum. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root. - Data Directory: Keep the default unless you have a specific reason to change it.
- Under Site Settings, enter a site name and description.
- Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and an email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.”
- Save your administrator login details securely. You will need them to access the FUDforum administration area.
- Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change settings such as the database name or automated backups. Backups can use additional disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
