Install Advanced Electron Forum (AEF) with Softaculous in SiteWorx — HostCupid technical guide
  1. Log in to SiteWorx, for example at www.example.com:2443/siteworx/.
  2. In SiteWorx, open Hosting Features if it is not already expanded, then select Softaculous.
  3. In Softaculous, select Forums in the left-hand menu, then choose AEF.
  4. Select Install.
  5. Complete the Software Setup fields:
    • Choose Protocol: Select the protocol for the installation.
    • Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install AEF.
    • In Directory: Enter a directory name to install AEF in a subdirectory, such as forum. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain's document root.
  6. Under Board Settings, enter the forum name and its email address. Enable the UTF-8 character set if you need to support multiple languages.
  7. Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as admin or administrator. Save these login details securely; you will need them to access the AEF administration area.
  8. Leave Advanced Options unchanged unless you need to modify the database settings or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Install.
