Log in to SiteWorx, for example at
www.example.com:2443/siteworx/.Under SiteWorx, open Hosting Features if it is not already expanded, then select Softaculous.
In Softaculous, select Forums from the left-hand menu, then choose Vanilla.
Select Install.
Complete the Software Setup fields:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use, or leave the default.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation. If you have only one domain, leave the default selection.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Vanilla in a subdirectory, such as
forum. Leave this field blank to install it in the domain’s document root.
Under Site Settings, enter a name for your forum.
Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as
adminoradministrator.Save the username and password securely; you will need them to sign in to the Vanilla admin area.
Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Install.
