Log in to SiteWorx. For example, visit
www.example.com:2443/siteworx/.In SiteWorx, open Hosting Features, then select Softaculous.
In Softaculous, open the Forums category and select PunBB.
Click Install.
Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the forum.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install the forum at a path such as
example.com/forum. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
Under Site Settings, enter a site name and description for your forum.
Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.”
Save the username and password securely; you will need them to access the PunBB administration area.
Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or adjust options such as the database name and automated backups. Backups may use additional disk space.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
