How to Install an XMB Forum Using Softaculous in SiteWorx — HostCupid technical guide

  1. Log in to SiteWorx. For example, the login URL may look like www.example.com:2443/siteworx/.

  2. Under SiteWorx, open Hosting Features if it is not already expanded, then select Softaculous.

  3. In Softaculous, locate and open the Forums category, then select XMB.

  4. Select Install.

  5. Under Software Setup, choose the protocol and domain for the installation. Leave the defaults if they are correct. To install XMB in a subdirectory, enter its name in In Directory (for example, forum). Leave this field blank to install it at the domain’s root.

  6. Under Site Settings, enter a name for your forum.

  7. Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as Admin or Administrator.

  8. Save your administrator login details somewhere secure; you will need them to access the forum’s admin area.

  9. Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space.

  10. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Install.
