How to Install bbPress via Softaculous in SiteWorx — HostCupid technical guide

  1. Log in to SiteWorx. For example, open https://www.example.com:2443/siteworx/.

  2. In the SiteWorx menu, open Hosting Features if it is not already expanded, then select Softaculous.

  3. In Softaculous, open the Forums category and select bbPress.

  4. Click Install.

  5. Under Software Setup, choose the protocol and domain for the installation. If you have only one domain, leave the domain selection unchanged. To install bbPress in a subdirectory, enter its name in In Directory (for example, forum). Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.

  6. Under Site Settings, enter the board name and site description, and set the first forum name (for example, General Forums).

  7. Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and an email address. Avoid using common usernames such as admin or administrator. Save these credentials; you will need them to access the bbPress administration area.

  8. Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space.

  9. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
