- Log in to SiteWorx. For example, visit
www.example.com:2443/siteworx/. - Under SiteWorx, open Hosting Features if it is not already expanded, then select Softaculous.
- In Softaculous, select the Forums category on the left, then choose FUDforum.
- Click Install.
- Complete the Software Setup fields:
- Choose Protocol: Leave the default selection unless you need a different protocol.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install FUDforum.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install in a subdirectory, such as
forumforexample.com/forum. Leave this blank to install on the selected domain's main site. - Data Directory: Leave the default unless you need to change it.
- Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name and Site Description.
- Under Admin Account, set an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “Admin” or “Administrator.”
- Save your administrator credentials securely; you will need them to sign in to the FUDforum administration area.
- Leave Advanced Options at their defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups can use additional disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
