- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous.
- In Softaculous, open the Forums category and select Unclassified NewsBoard.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, choose a protocol and domain. If you do not need to change them, leave the defaults. To install the forum in a subdirectory, enter its name in In Directory (for example,
forum). Leave this field blank to install it at the domain’s document root. - Under Site Settings, enter a name for your forum.
- Under Admin Account, set an admin username and a strong password. Avoid generic usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Save these credentials securely; you will need them to sign in to the forum’s admin area.
- Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups may use additional disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
