- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, locate the Blogs category in the left-side menu and select Serendipity.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use, or leave the default selection.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation. If you have only one domain, leave the default selection.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Serendipity at a path such as
example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter your site name and description.
- Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, your real name (or leave the default), and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Save your username and password; you will need them to access the Serendipity admin area. Choose a language for the blog; English is the default.
- Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
