- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Blogs category and select Textpattern.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use, such as HTTPS if it is available for your domain.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install Textpattern in a subdirectory, such as
directoryforexample.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter your site name and description.
- Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, your real name (or leave the default), and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as
adminoradministrator. - Save your admin username and password somewhere secure; you will need them to access Textpattern.
- Leave Advanced Options unchanged unless you want to customize options such as the database name or automated backups. Backups use storage space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install to start the installation.
