- Log in to your cPanel account.
- In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, locate the Blogs category in the left-hand menu, then click LifeType.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use, or leave the default selection.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain for the installation.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install LifeType at a path such as
example.com/directory. Leave this blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name for your website.
- Under Database Settings, leave the Table Prefix at its default unless you have a reason to change it.
- Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, your real name (or leave the default), and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Save the username and password so you can access the LifeType administration area.
- Choose the blog’s language. English is the default.
- Review Advanced Options. Leave the defaults unless you want to change the database name or configure automated backups. Backups can use additional disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
