- Log in to your cPanel account. In the Software section, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, find the Blogs category in the left-hand menu and select eggBlog.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, configure the installation:
- Choose Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use, or leave the default selection.
- Choose Domain: Select the domain where eggBlog will be installed.
- In Directory: Enter a directory name to install eggBlog at a path such as
example.com/directory. Leave this field blank to install it at the domain root.
- Under Site Settings, enter a Site Name and Site Description.
- Under Admin Account, enter an administrator username, a strong password, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “Admin” or “Administrator.” Save these login details so you can access the eggBlog administration area.
- Select a language. English is the default.
- Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or change options such as the database name and automated backups. Backups use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
