How to Install PivotX with Softaculous in cPanel

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. Under Software, click Softaculous App Installer.
  3. In Softaculous, open the Blogs category and select PivotX.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Under Software Setup, select the protocol and domain for the installation. If you want to install PivotX in a subdirectory, enter the directory name in In Directory (for example, directory). Leave this field blank to install it in the domain's document root.
  6. Under Site Settings, enter a name for your website.
  7. Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, a nickname, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Save the username and password so you can sign in to the PivotX admin area.
  8. Choose the language for your PivotX site. English is the default.
  9. Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or change the database name and backup settings. Automated backups use disk space.
  10. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
