- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Under Software, click Softaculous App Installer.
- In Softaculous, open the Blogs category and select PivotX.
- Click Install.
- Under Software Setup, select the protocol and domain for the installation. If you want to install PivotX in a subdirectory, enter the directory name in In Directory (for example,
directory). Leave this field blank to install it in the domain's document root. - Under Site Settings, enter a name for your website.
- Under Admin Account, enter an admin username, a strong password, a nickname, and your email address. Avoid common usernames such as “admin” or “administrator.” Save the username and password so you can sign in to the PivotX admin area.
- Choose the language for your PivotX site. English is the default.
- Review Advanced Options. You can leave the defaults or change the database name and backup settings. Automated backups use disk space.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Install.
